As part of the I-95 Express Toll Lanes (ETLsSM) project, the Maryland Transportation Authority recently completed the construction of two new general-purpose lanes on northbound I-895. Construction extended from south of the I-895 / Moravia Road interchange in Baltimore City to north of the I-95 / I-895 interchange in Baltimore County.
The two new lanes now carry I-895 over Moores Run and I-95. The lanes merge onto I-95 from the right (previously the merge was on the left). The new roadway has two 12' travel lanes with a 10' left shoulder and a 12' right shoulder.
